Shipping Policies

FREE OF CHARGE


Every item in our shop is handmade upon its purchase. Our production time can range from a few days to four weeks. This time frame has more to do with keeping up with our volume of orders than the amount of time it takes to create an individual piece. We are a very small, family run company with only five bench jewelers.


We are happy to move an order ahead in our production schedule by request and for no additional charge. The estimated dates provided by Etsy are automated and do not take into account our willingness to do this. If you have a specific date by which you would like to receive your order, please let us know in the note to seller box provided during checkout, and we will do our utmost to accommodate. If we do not receive a request, we will ensure that your order is completed and prepared for shipment within the maximum time frame presented for each listing. If you’d like your item quickly, a shipping upgrade is always a good idea, but please also be sure to communicate your expectations with us.


Shipping upgrades: As stated above, the estimated dates provided by Etsy are automated. Sometimes the same date range is given for all forms of shipment however, shipping upgrades will deliver more quickly than our standard shipping option.


A signature will NOT be required for delivery. If you would like a signature confirmation, please leave your request in the note to seller box provided during checkout.


Guaranteed Delivery


Blazer Arts guarantees its shipments. If your parcel is lost or damaged, we will issue you a refund or create a replacement for you. Simply reach out to us via an Etsy Message or complete a help request, and we will take care of you.


Shipments within the US


Our standard form of shipment is USPS Ground Advantage, formally referred to as First Class Mail. This is provided free of charge. It typically delivers in two to five business days but has occasionally taken longer. It depends on your location. Shipping upgrades are available during checkout and recommended if you’d like your order quickly. USPS Priority Mail delivers in 2 to 3 business days after we have completed your order. USPS Express Mail delivers in 1 to 3 days (365 days out of the year with limited exceptions) after we have completed your order. We can also ship via UPS by request. Please contact us prior to your purchase and ask for a quote. We will need your full address.


If you have a PO box address for USPS shipments and a physical address for UPS, FedEx, etc, please be sure to enter your PO box address during checkout unless you have made arrangements with us in advance for a UPS shipment.


Shipments Outside of the US


Our standard form of international shipment for orders with a value less than $400 USD to all countries with the exception of Canada is called Global Postal Shipping. This form of delivery is processed through a partnership between the United States Post Office, your local post office, a company named Asendia, and an assortment of other delivery partners. Under ideal circumstances, this form of delivery will take 2 to 3 weeks, but it can take longer. We are unable to predict whether your shipment will experience a delay. Please know that Etsy’s estimated delivery dates typically underestimate international shipping timeframes, which is odd because we generate our shipping labels on their site.


Our standard form of shipment to Canada is USPS Ground Advantage, which will deliver in partnership with Canada Post in approximately 10 days depending on the specific address.


We also offer a shipping upgrade during checkout: USPS Priority Mail International. This form of shipment will be delivered in partnership with your local post in approximately 6 to 10 business days. Delays may occur.


We can also offer UPS shipping by request. UPS rarely experiences delays. UPS Worldwide Expedited shipping will deliver much quicker–typically 1 to 2 weeks but sometimes within a few days. It depends upon your location. If interested, please just let us know, and we can offer you a quote for this service. We will need to know your full address, and we would need to create a custom listing for your purchase. If you would like your order quickly, we strongly recommend a UPS shipping upgrade.


Our standard form of shipment to the United Kingdom for orders with a value of $400 USD or more is UPS Worldwide Expedited. This form of delivery will take approximately 1 week. UPS likes to have a phone number on record for international deliveries. They may need to contact you prior to delivery to collect a customs or import fee. Please share your phone number in the note to seller box provided during checkout or add it to your address.


Our standard form of shipment to all other countries for orders with a value of $400 USD or more is USPS Priority Mail International. This form of shipment will be delivered in partnership with your local post in approximately 6 to 10 business days. Delays may occur. Please understand these are outside of our control.


All forms of international shipment will include a customs declaration.


Please note: Your local postal or customs authority may require you to remit an import or customs fee or tax of some sort prior to delivery. Depending upon where you live and the value of your purchase, Etsy may collect some form of tax to remit directly to your local government during checkout, but these funds do not flow through our accounts, nor do we have any control over the rates imposed. You may still be required to remit an import fee prior to delivery. Please consult your local post for specific details, as every country handles their customs fees and procedures differently. It is against the law for us to pay these fees for you or to mark your order as a gift to avoid paying them.


If your parcel arrives in your country, and you do not remit the import fees etc, your local post will eventually return your order to us. This will void our delivery guarantee, and your refund will not be issued in the event that it is lost in the mail on its way back to us. Should you decide you no longer want your order, please discuss the matter with your local post to make more reliable plans for a return.


Returns and Exchange Details


You may return your item for a full refund (minus shipping costs) prior to 45 days after receipt of item. All of our creations are 100% satisfaction guaranteed! We do not give refunds after 45 days however, exchanges and credit can be issued.


Please note that all of our items are handmade upon their purchase. Exact dimensions may vary slightly.


Custom items are nonrefundable. A custom item is a unique design that is not already offered on our shop site. Specific sizes are not considered custom.


Our inside ring engraving services are nonrefundable. We will honor a refund for the ring itself but not the engraving fee.


Our rhodium plating add-on service for silver rings is also nonrefundable, but we will honor a refund for the ring itself.


Items will be deemed as non returnable if altered in any way by another jeweler. This will also void our ability to resize it.


One Complimentary Ring Resizing


We completely understand that sometimes a ring doesn't fit the way you expect it to. This is often due to the thickness or width of the particular ring. Resizing is sometimes necessary. We are more than happy to oblige and only ask that you cover the shipping costs. Pricing for any additional resizing or resizing after a year has passed will be determined on a case by case basis. Rest assured that we charge less for this service than most jewelry stores.


Can you resize my ring if it has been engraved?


Yes. If we engraved your ring for you, we can still resize it. We will likely have to re-engrave it after resizing. For this reason we ask that you remit $15 USD for one ring or $25 USD for two rings.


Our apologies, but if you’ve had your ring engraved by another jeweler this voids our complimentary resizing service, and we will be unable to resize your ring for you.

FAQs


How do I determine my ring size?


The best approach is to have your finger measured at your local jewelry store. Our clients have found at home methods such as measuring their fingers with measuring tape, string, or a template printed from the web to be unreliable.

A ring's dimensions can play a part in how it will fit. For example, a wider band will fit more snug than a thinner ring of the same ring size, so if you have a specific design in mind, be sure to share this information with the jeweler.


I live outside of the United States. How do I determine my US ring size?


The best way to determine your ring size is to visit your local jeweler. Please know that at home methods can be unreliable because ring sizes differ by less than 1mm.

Ring sizes from different regions don't always match up exactly. You may need to select a slightly larger or smaller size. Please consider the design of the ring. Wider bands (5mm or wider) can fit more snug than thinner rings of the same ring size or the tool often used to measure a finger.


Do you offer inside ring engraving?


Yes! We can engrave most of our designs that measure 2.5mm wide or wider and less than 9mm wide. Not sure about the dimensions of the piece you're interested in? Our item description will let you know.

To purchase our inside ring engraving service, locate the listing within the same Etsy shop you plan to purchase your rings from by using the shop search feature. Add this listing to your shopping cart along with your ring or rings prior to checking out.

This service is complimentary for orders with a value of $500 USD (non sale price) or more, so if your purchase meets this criteria, simply let us know your choice of font and what you would like to have engraved in your rings in the note to seller box provided during checkout.

Will my ring have a quality mark?

We do hallmark the majority of our items. However, we refrain from adding these to our sterling silver patterned bands. This is because adding a quality mark entails hammering a stamp into the ring’s interior, which could risk causing a flat spot on the exterior pattern of the band. We also refrain from adding a hallmark when our clients request that we engrave a personalized message inside their ring because some have voiced that it detracts from the message. Please know that it is completely lawful to refrain from quality marking jewelry. The laws only state that if you quality mark an item that you then must also add your maker’s mark.

Will my ring have a seam?

Most of our rings will have a seam, but in most instances you will not be able to see it. When it comes to our patterned bands, we rework the design around the seam so as to disguise it.

Is the black finish on silver rings permanent?

No. We have spent over a decade searching for a more permanent option, and one remains to be found. We oxidize our silver rings with a chemical called liver of sulfur. This blackens them completely. Depending upon your choice of finish, we then polish or brush away much of it to give the ring an antiqued look, or if you’ve chosen an oxidized black finish, then we add a museum quality microwax to help prolong the finish. This is merely a surface treatment. Oxidation in recessed areas of the design will last longer because it makes less contact with other objects.

How long will the oxidized black finish last?

The length of time it takes for the black finish to wear off varies greatly from one person to the next because it mostly has to do with what you do with your hands while wearing the ring. You can prolong the finish by removing it prior to working with or washing your hands. If the black finish on your ring wears off quickly, it might be due to the chemical makeup of your skin. If the black finish wears off of your ring more quickly than you’d like, you may return it for a refund. We would also be happy to re-blacken it for you. Depending on the design, there are also some at home methods that can be used.
